Here is the list of valid IDs accepted by 2Go Travel for passengers who wants to sail with Superferry.
The showing of one valid identification card is required upon boarding.
Do you have a valid ID?
Superferry boarding officers will check and evaluate the ID presented by a passenger if acceptable or not and only those with valid ID can board the vessel. This is for security purposes, compliance is a must.
For those who wants to travel via 2Go Travel Superferry, there is a “NO ID, NO BOARDING” policy being implemented. Before sa byahe niyo, please make sure to bring 1 valid ID para di magka problema pagdating sa pier.
LIST OF 2GO TRAVEL VALID IDs
GOVERNMENT ISSUED IDs
- SSS or GSIS ID
- PRC ID (Professional ID issued by PRC, must not be expired)
- Driver’s License (must not be expired)
- Passport (must not be expired)
- Senior Citizen’s ID (OSCA)
- Federation of the Senior Citizens ID (FSCA)
- Postal ID (must not be expired)
- Barangay ID (must not be expired)
- TIN ID (issued by BIR)
- Voter’s ID
- PAG-IBIG ID
Other Valid IDs accepted by 2Go Travel
- Company ID (currently employed)
- Student ID (currently enrolled)
- Police Clearance Certificate (The Police Clearance must still be valid on the date of travel)
- NBI Clearance (The NBI Clearance must still valid on the date of travel)

Different Scenarios Regarding ID
Scenario 1: Can passengers present Philhealth ID to the boarding officer? Will this be accepted? The answer is NO.
Scenario 2: Can passengers present Barangay Clearance to the boarding officer? Will this be accepted? The answer is NO. *Barangay ID is accepted. Barangay ID is different from Barangay Clearance.
Scenario 3: Can passengers present old company ID kahit hindi ka na nagtratrabaho dun? I-accept ba to? The answer is NO.
Scenario 4: Can passengers present a school ID that has expired? Example the current school year now is 2017 to 2018 but the school ID presented is valid only until 2016, will this be acceptable? NO. The student must be currently enrolled, the school ID must be current.
Scenario 5: The passenger is a minor, not yet in school. What document is required for boarding? The parent of the minor passenger must present the birth certificate of the latter. *Some boarding officers are lenient and will allow the parent to bring on-board the child without much hassle. But if you want to be 100% sure, bring the birth certificate copy on the day of travel.
Scenario 6: The boat passenger has a police clearance but it is already expired on the day of departure. Will the expired police clearance be accepted? NO. *This is the same case for those government IDs and documents which has an indicated expiry date. Other examples are driver’s license, passport, PRC ID, postal ID, etc. The id must be VALID on the scheduled sailing date.
Scenario 7: Is voter’s certification allowed? The answer is No, but you can try maki-usap sa boarding officer, baka pag-bigyan ka, especially if you can present other identification card/document. *Voter’s ID are accepted. Voter’s ID and Voter’s certification are different.
Scenario 8: Can an adult passenger present just birth certificate to get on-board 2Go marine vessels? NO. Birth certificate as ID for adult passengers are not accepted.
NO ID, NO BOARDING POLICY
This “no ID, no boarding” policy is a hassle but since there is the ever-present threat of terrorism, government authorities as well as shipping companies is becoming stricter with security. This is for the benefit of everyone.
